How did we became the warriors?
Trivia: Balikbayan was Weekend Getawat's old Title. when QTV network changed format and became GMA News Tv, the name and format of the show also changed.
When I knew that we need to submit an audition video convincing the WG crew why we deserve to have a free vacation, I immediately tell Dhie and didn't stop until get him to agree on submitting a video. And with his will also, we made an audition video quickly and submitted it asap.
Jan. 23 I got a text from Marvin of WG saying that were chosen as a weekend warrior and were scheduled at Feb. 2-4 for a vacay. We thought it was just a joke from a friend who knew that we are joining that show.... we keep thinking if it's real. Then Feb 26, i recieved a text again from WG team saying that they send a WG Warriors pre-interview form to your email and must fill it up and send it back asap.. after returning the filled up pre-interview form, i got a call from Marvin now asking me to pack our stuff because we just earned our passes to a free weekend getaway! yehey!!! finally, this is what we've waiting for! It's for real!
I was just told not to forget things we need to bring like medicines, swim clothes, and to even bring stuff for cold and heat protection. i was like what the F! Dhie and i had a debate on possibilities of water activities or running and climbing. hmmm no idea! haha we're super excited that time...Can't wait, can't sleep.. haha
Then it was thursday feb 2, all our things are packed, and we're waiting for the WG team to fetch us, wew.... super excited but clueless on where they were taking us... haha
A few minutes.. two van stopped in front of the house, oh well here they are!!! The Weekend Getaway staffs, they set the lights on, camera on and woala! we took the first shoot for the show! haha
We rode the van off to our ultimate weekend getaway.... on our way... still no idea on what place they were gonna take us...
a long way rode..... Marvin and Maiko slept on the way but us can't... coz we kept thinking to our mind where the heck you guys taking us!!! whuahhhhhh
